Howdy friends and fellow sports fans! Welcome to The Meadows Minute. My name is Luke Meadows, and this is my forum for sports and anything else that might pop up. It’s been said that I am obsessed with sports. Am I obsessed? I mean, I play sports. I watch sports. I talk about sports. I yell so loud at the TV sometimes that I terrify my dogs with my outbursts. And I could take on the most seasoned sports fan and come out on top. So yeah, I guess obsessed is pretty accurate.
I’m a high school sophomore in Texas. Admit it, an image of “Friday Night Lights” just popped up in your head. Should we all say it together?? ”Clear eyes, full hearts…CAN’T LOSE!” Ok, now that we have that out of the way…This fall I played Varsity 6 Man football and play both ways. I’m currently playing Varsity soccer as goalie; and I make a cameo appearance at track and field events, where I throw the shot put and discus. I am playing basketball this year too.
Despite living in the heart of “Aggieland” I am a staunch University of Texas fan. I wear the burnt orange with pride, and I look forward to the day I cheer on my Longhorns in the Darrel K. Royal stadium as a UT student. After college, it’s on to a career in Sports Broadcasting.
